Description of Services:
A
 service provider for children who are enrolled in the Infant-Toddler Program/Children’s Developmental Services Agency (CDSA).  Services are provided to families with emphasis on language and communication skill development. Itinerant teachers licensed in the area of hearing impairment provide routine based family-centered intervention in a child’s most natural environment with a primary caregiver. Teachers work with the CDSA to ensure that children receive appropriate Early Intervention Services.

Description of Services: 
NC EHDI provides assistance and education to hospitals, medical providers, audiologists, and other service providers.  It supports families by connecting them to available    resources and helping them to find the care their children need. Parents and providers can learn about the EHDI process, find materials to help guide them through the hearing loss identification and intervention processes, and locate pediatric audiologist and educational resources on the NC EHDI website

​Beginnings was established to provide emotional support and access to information as a central resource for families with deaf or hard of hearing children, birth to age 21. Beginnings actively assists hearing parents of deaf or hard of hearing children and deaf parents parents with hearing children during the early decision making stages and throughout the educational career of the student.

Boone Lions are in their 82nd  year of serving the community. Boone Lions provide vision and hearing screenings, support those in need of eye exams and vision correction, and collect and distribute eye glasses and hearing aids for distribution to those in need world wide.
