They serve individuals with developmental disabilities and/or traumatic brain injuries. Families must complete an application and have an annual income of less than $65,000 a year after taxes and they only offer assistance one time per year. The purpose of the WIC program is to prevent and improve nutrition-related health problems in its target population. Eligibility: WIC is designed to serve certain categories of women, infants, and children. Women:

Applicants must also be seen by a health professional such as a physician, nurse, or nutritionist who must determine whether the individual is at nutrition risk.
