We have staff specially trained in caring for pediatric patients, who have a life-limiting illness or terminal illness. We also have a dedicated bereavement coordinator, that works with children, who are bereaved. Ages Served: Available to patients of any age, religion, race or illness. Payment/Fees: Medicare, Medicaid, Most insurance companies, such as Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, MedCost, etc., Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care will never turn away a patient due to their lack of insurance or ability to pay. Service Area: We serve children in Surry, Alleghany, Wilkes, Iredell, Forsyth Stokes, and Davie Counties in North Carolina and Grayson, Carroll, Wythe, Pulaski, and Patrick Counties in Virginia.
