Our programs include: A Safe Home for Everyone: Phone: (336) 982-8851 Crisis Line: (336) 246-5430 Description of Services: Providing support,advocacy, and emergency housing services to assist survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and their families. Services also include providing education, empowerment, and support for children, adolescents, and teens to work toward ending the cycle of domestic violence and sexual assault. Family Foundations: Phone: (336)982-4588 Description of Services: Family Foundations is a home visitation program providing support and resources to families with children ages birth to 5 to encourage positive relationships and ensure that children are healthy, happy, and ready to learn. Early Childhood & Education Services: Phone: (336) 982-8870 Description of Services: Providing support, training, and assistance to child care providers to ensure high quality care for children. A Lending Library is available with toys, books, games, and learning kits available for check-out. These items provide families and child care providers additional activities to use with children. A small annual membership fee is required for the lending library. Triple P- Positive Parenting Program: Phone: (336) 982-4588 Description of Services: Offering tips and strategies to help parents encourage positive behavior while maintaining a positive, nurturing environment for their family. Through the encouragement of positive communication, sharing information and consistency with children, Triple P is proven to make parenting easier and more rewarding. Family Central: Phone: (336) 982-8871 Description of Services: Offering a vibrant playroom open Monday – Friday 8am – 5pm for families to bring their children to play. We provide a therapeutic environment of diversional activities and a program that helps maintain or regain a responsible level of function. Fees: Funding available for all ages and abilities. It is operated by Ashe Services for Aging, Inc., a private, non-profit agency that provides a variety of services for senior adults, adults with disabilities, and children with typical development and those with disabilities. The center is co-located with Ashe Services for Aging in West Jefferson and offers intergenerational experiences for children through informal visits and joint activities with adult day center participants and informal and planned interactions with adults visiting the senior center. Fees: Tuition payments are accepted from a variety of sources including private payments, child care subsidy, pell grant allocations, community college stipends, displaced worker stipends, foster care support funds, and more.
