Description of Services: The Division of Speech Pathology and Audiology provides comprehensive diagnostic, treatment, rehabilitation and management of speech and hearing disorders. Services are provided to infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric individuals. Patients served have a wide variety of congenital, developmental, and acquired disorders. Specialty programs include augmentative communication and assistive technology, auditory processing assessment, cleft palate board, cochlear implant, dysphagia diagnostics, fluency training, foreign accent modification, hearing aid dispensary, hearing assessment, literacy assessment, newborn hearing screening, and acoustic/aerodynamic and videostroboscopic evaluations of voice disorders, post-stroke and closed head injury rehabilitation.

Description of Services: HLA of NC is a state association of Hearing Loss Association of America, and its focus is on statewide advocacy and cooperation. Hearing Loss Association of America is the nation's largest organization for people with hearing loss. HLAA exists to open the world of communication for people of hearing loss through information, education, advocacy and support.

Description of Services: Beginnings was established to provide emotional support and access to information as a central resource for families with deaf or hard of hearing children, birth to age 21.
